About Camp Woodpecker

Our Story

At Camp Woodpecker, we believe in the power of nature to bring people together. That's why we created this campground, to offer a place where friends can disconnect from their busy lives and reconnect with each other and the natural world.


Back for the 2025 season, we look forward to sharing many new memories with all the new and returning guests throughout the year.

Jim "Tank" is one of the owners at Camp Woodpecker. Jim will be a semi-permanent resident at camp and is always looking forward to welcoming new and returning campers!

Dave is one of Camp Woodpecker's owners. Dave and his partner Jim are building a camp for you to enjoy and make new friends.

Chef Cuse can be found running the The Pecking Post at Camp Woodpecker. He looks forward to cooking up something special with his latest menu specialties!

Acceptance Statement

Camp Woodpecker takes pride in treating all members with dignity. Our all male member-only community proudly welcomes gay, bi, and trans men, whose presence and contributions are what make our campground a truly special and inclusive place. We recognize and celebrate the diversity of identities and experiences among our members. The owners ask everyone to treat one another with kindness and respect, creating an inclusive environment for all to feel safe. Everyone should feel free to be themselves and enjoy their stay at Camp Woodpecker. Remember, we do not judge others here—judges are for the courts.


Hate has no home here!  If you experience any form of discrimination or racism at our campground, please contact management immediately.

ADA Compliance

 Our facility was built before ADA requirements. We have stairs to the lodge rooms that do not comply with ADA requirements. Please let us know if you require special assistance at time of booking.
